if you get long tubes w/ a catted y pipe it will help with the db level and still give you more power. If it's too loud you can always swap the lm1 resonator for a lm2 race muffler, the fit right in. I have the SLP power flo kit with long tubes and a ORY and my car isn'y loud at idle or cruising just WOT so with catted y a LM2 would be ok. Maybe even a LM1 if you want a loud car. With a tune it's easy to pass OBD2 testing.
I pass state inspection I just go to small shops where the only do the test and don't bother looking under the car.

it will help you launch your car alot harder, depending on what what size you get 2500 rpm stall 3000, 3500, or 4000 and so on, thats what you can lanch your car at instead of only being able to launch at alittle above idle (whatever your foot brake can hold without spinning or moving) so it helps tremendous on the launch and shaves alot off your track times

anyone that knows alot more please correct me if im wrong..

    I would get the stall.

Then electric cut outs. Just for the ability to open it at a push of a button whenever you feel like sounding mean.

Not sure about Cali regs on LT's.

What kind of horsepower gains are there for the electric cut out?

Can't tell you for certain what you would get without putting it on a dyno, but it's estimated 8-12hp.

I'd get one purely for the difference it makes in your exhaust note. Of course, that's only when it's open.
