What mods did you have to do to fit your 315/40/17 under the back? What size are you wearing in the front? I have 275/40/17 all the way around, want to go bigger in back but tires cost too much if they dont fit. So its nice to know that some on has done it!

315's don't fit safely on the stock wheels.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After lowering, I decided to get my chrome SS 10-spokes widened to 11" in the rear. I sent them off to Weldcraft Wheels in Michigan for about 3 weeks and then got them back. They came out nice too. The welds were really good. I wrapped them in some new Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's 315/35/17. Let me tell you, these are some WIDE tires. Much wider than the Nitto 315's. I had to pound the fenders just a little bit, also had to get 1 1/4" billet adapters to make them fit (since the 2" was added to the inside of the wheel). I borrowed a fender rolling tool (Eastwood Co.), and it was really easy, no paint damage when rolling.
It was 200/wheel for chrome (175 if not chrome) + shipping. ~60-90 for 1 1/4" wheel adapters with studs. And the cost of the tires. Definately needed an adjustable panhard bar too.
Well worth the cost IMO, there are only a handful of us out there with widened 10spokes. After I saw Avengeance's widened wheels (had been thinking about it..) I knew Weldcraft was the right place to go.
i got this on another site
