Volant Breather Install
Hey guys,
Several months ago I purchased a Volant intake (the one with the dual cones.)
Upon receiving my package, I noticed no install directions were included, only a part list.
I went online and couldn't find anything on how to install so I thought how hard could it be, its just an intake.. lol
So I decided to wing it. It was a fairly easy install. I was done in about 30 minutes except 1 part....
The damn breather filter! I was given just a small filter and 1 plastic piece... There is a small hole on the right side of the air box where the plastic piece is pushed thru (the whole is too small for the plastic piece to even fit!)
On the inside of the air box, the filter connects to the plastic piece..... And on the outside I'm guessing a hose connects to it? (which I wasn't given of course)
Where would that hose even go??????
Anyways, I just set those pieces aside and slapped some black duct tape over the hole.
Its been about 4 months like this and I'm tired of it not being finished. Can someone help me figure this out?! I've called Volant multiple times and they have no idea what I'm talking about, and they won't send me any instructions. They left me out to dry... Those bastards.

I'm betting the items you're talking about are for the Air Pump hose that would normally connect to the air lid tray for 98's.
You can either A) delete the air pump (best choice) or B) connect the filter to the air pump line and secure it outside of the lid tray. You will also need to look for a plug to cap the side hole. I know SLP provide me one but not sure if Volant does.

How would I go about deleting the air pump? I don't remember removing a hose from the OE air box? Maybe the previous owner already did... I'm assuming its located to the right of the engine bay? Maybe by the headlight?
Also, lets say the air pump is still there and I just left the hose hanging there without noticing... Is that bad???? I haven't experienced any problems, yet at least...
Thank you for the help btw
