Using C6 Brakes on Firebird (4th gen)

REAR Brakes... the title should include the word REAR

I know front swaps are discussed to death...but if the rears are worn badly as well and new take off C6 rear calipers are at hand; why not use them if possible

Anyone know if it is as simple as removing calipers and rotors and simply bolting on C6 calipers and rotors?

It appears that they have an identical rotor diameter and also internal diameter, for the parking brake. But I believe the hat height is different.
I'm wondering if the calipers will mount at the same variance in (what's the proper word here?) depth?

Or if perhaps the C6 calipers will mount at exactly the same position, simply calling for the use of a standard F-body rear rotor to mount up compatibly?

No you need a special bracket to do so and maybe a custom line. Honestly they aren't much better if better at all so it would be mostly for looks. I'd just get better rotors or do the full c6 z06 swap if you really wanted to swap rear brakes.

Do you happen to have a link that reference the bracket or where to find it? (I checked Kore3 thinking they were the most likely source that I knew, but didn't turn anything up)

Also just to clarify, I picked up a full set of unused C6 take offs (calipers, rotors, pads, hardware) Knowing I would use at least the front set up to swap onto my F-body, but as the rear brakes are OLD and even the factory calipers could probably use work, I wanted to use the C6 parts I already had....if I can pull off the swap with little effort.

Kore3 sells it for the z06 idk if anyone makes one for the c6 for the rear since like I said its looks only. All I have seen is if people want bigger and better rear brakes they go c6 z06 or a bbk like brembo, Wilson, or similar.
