Yeah, I know, but being that its up in NH (about 6 hour round trip) I would hate to drag someone else along (if I like it I would just buy right then) and drive it, and then find out that it ran like shit, or had a bent output shaft like one camaro I looked at before finding the 99. The shifter went up and down like a horse on a carosel.

Really, when you think about it, they are the same cars, came with the same engines, trannies, rearends, but I always liked the no nonsense aggressive vehemoth look of the T/A personally, so, in my books, I think it's an upgrade! Congratulations!!!

Update: I tried the locating someone to go check it out for me, and met with zero response. So Im just going to have to trust in the good nature of LS1 guys to hope I dont get screwed. In other words, I got the loan today, after selling the z28 yesterday. Im going up to NH sunday (much to my wifes displeasure) and coming home with a new child. Now Im getting excited.

Just to calm your wife's fears, I just purchased a 2000 RamAir T/A WS6 from a guy in Maine. Saw pics of the car from the outside. Trusted what he told me about the car and never drove it or saw it in person right up until the day it backed off the trailer. Man, was I ever pleased! The car had perfect interior, black, NO cracks or rips or tears in ANY of the seats. Shifter was tight and the only problem I encountered was that he had rebuilt the headlight motors with the brass gears, and the epoxy that he used to seal the cover back on the body of the headlight actuator came apart which allowed the rotating shaft to walk out and get out of alignment with the open and close stops. After fixing that little problem, I have a dim lights problem that I'm still trying to fix, but other than that, I think it was a good experience considering that I bought the car sight unseen except for pics on E-Bay. There are honest people out there, and I think if you are a good judge of character, you can talk to them over the phone and figure out after not long whether they are trustworthy or not....good luck!

Cool deal. Yeah, I liek to think I can tell who you can trust, but you never do know. As for my wife, shes pissed not because Im getting the car, but because I have to get it on Sunday and that means she has to deal with both of our kids on a day when normally we handle them together. I just cant justify making the kids sit in the car for 6-7 hours (the round trip time) just for me to get a car.
