Turn signal problem....what did I miss!

Ok I searched through the other posts and tried everything I found in there and I still have a problem.

My flashers work fine, but my turn signals just come on and won't blink (note they blink for the flashers). I changed the blubs, I replaced the front sockets, and I installed a new flasher thingy. Still same problem.

What did I miss? Is there a fuse I am over looking?

    Thanks,
    Jack

There are two (flashers) one for siginals and one for hazzards. They are usually a cylinder shape and silver I am not sure if the are in the fuse block or not, but most cars are. Do a search on here for flashers. Good luck

If just one side is not working then I believe you got a bulb partially out or a funky socket. If both are not working I would check out your flasher unit.

turn on your blinker and then start in the front and give all the bulbs a wiggle in the socket. When I got my car I had one that wasn't seating right and causing it to look like they were out and not flash.

There is a fuse for the turn signals on the driverside fuse box (inside of the door) ...first row second fuse.

Check both front and rear turn signal bulbs. If one is blown, the other one won't work properly.

ok I am a retard. I changed the hazard flasher, I didn't realize there where two under that dash. I just changed the turn signal flasher and now the blinkers work correctly.

    Thanks for all the help,
    Jack

    Jack,

I'm about to change out my "flasher unit" and have never done it. What should I look for that is going to distinguish the Hazards from the Blinkers? Also, what is the best route to take to get to the unit - from the panel that lies below the steering wheel?

Old thread, but I'm having the same problem. How do I tell the 2 flashers apart? Are both interchangeable? Otherwise I'll swap both and if that solves the problem then I know its the flasher and not something else.

If you turn on your hazzards are they blinking?

Yes they do, I know its the flasher, the fuse is fine, I just need the info from my previous post. Also, does anyone know what a replacement flasher would cost?

Haven't changed the flashers b4, but I think if you turn your hazzards on you could feel/hear which one was blinking and change the other one.

    Yes they are interchangeable.

Do you know where they are? I believe the hazard flasher is the one by the door and the turn signal flasher is closer to the center. If you dont know what to look for let me know.
