    trying to get mid 11's

hey guys i want to do some serious modding to my 01 ws6
this is my plan cam, heads, headers, lid, slicks, catback, throttle body, and prolly some rear end work.
i would like to be in the mid 11's. for people in the mid elevens or anyone else what would you suggest to get as far as heads and cam?
what other supporting mods would i need? (pistons, trans work, or anything else besides a good tune?)
I dont know much of anything about these cars so please be gentle
what about forced induction? can i just slap a turbo kit on it and be dont with it? (prolly not)
    thanks guys

You can run 11s with stock heads and a stock bottom end. Cam, tuning, and exhaust is all you really need as far as power to reach 11s.

I would definately have your tranny beefed up(not sure whether you are a manual or auto) and the 10 bolt rears are junk, I look into a rearend upgrade before you did heads/turbo/etc.

i agree as well but ull need every bolt on to make full use of the cam. Headers are a MUST. Full bolt on's+cam+dyon tune+good tires+=11's all day long AS LONG AS U CAN DRIVE. Dont forget the moser 12bolt w/ 4.11's ur the m6.

You can run mid to low 11s, with port polish heads, save yourself hundreds, a cam and valve train upgrade, oil pump, if your stick new clutch, if auto you could use some tranny work, rear end, i have heard of people getting ford ranger rear ends for our cars, if stick 4.10s with some drag radials, plus bolt ons and that should put you at low to mid 11s. Im also adding a lsx intake manifold, hoping for 11.2 or close to that.

Heads/cam package on a forged 347, drag radials, lower control arms, sub-frame connectors, full bolt ons, rear end work, 3:73s on a manual(M6) transmission.

Why the Ranger? The '96 + Explorer/Mountaineer 8.8 has 31 spline axles and comes stock with disks, as far as I know Rangers never came with disk brakes. Also, 3.73's came stock in most Ex's, while some had 4.10's, with the tow package I believe.

IIRC a Explorer rear is 59.5" wide, anyone know how wide the F-Bod rear is?
