Trying to get back into the F-Body game

Long story short I sold my 00 WS6 to buy a DD Audi S5 (V8), love the car but I need to get back into an f-body and I found this vert on craigslist. Just want your opinion, will be building this up over the next few years, maybe drive it for a few months before pulling the motor and getting down to business.

Was thinking of going in around 3800, I've seen it all over CL for the last 6 months or so. either he doesn't really wanna sell or there is no interest from other buyers.

    thanks for your input.

Ask for some engine bay shots. So far looks clean I bet it had a bra on it at some point in time cause of the paint on the nose looks chipped and scratched.

the guy kind of does things on his own time I'd be far better off going to look at it before he sent me a picture of the engine bay. I'm hoping its clean, he did mention some surface rust but assured me there is nothing rusting through or anything. we'll see. I think 38 is a good point for negotiations

With it being a vert I'd run that thing thru a car wash to make sure the top doesn't leak. Check the storage area for rust.

Also look at the rear qtr panels on both sides. Look for a wrinkle or dimple near the wheel well areas. This will let you know if he's dogged it. With Vert's they do not have as much body structure as the t top cars and when run hard (like say track launches) they tend to develop a wrinkle or dimple from the body flexing. If you get this 3pt sub-frame connectors would be the 1st mod I'd get.

Hmm....Interesting he thought it was a WS6 according to the listing. I would definitely check it out and make sure it drives good and yes check for leaks from the top.

we settled on 3pm or so on Saturday to go look at the car, it is definitely not a WS6 and I'd rather bring that up when I'm there versus through text. Will let you guys know how it goes.
