    Trunk leak '02

My trunk well is full of water again. Is there a common place water leaks in with these cars?

Check your drains at the perimeter of the hatch and see if they are plugged.

What Jeff said. Plus was the nose parked down hill? I've seen several people complain of leaks when the back end is higher.

If none of the above works then you need to get someone that is small and remove all the plastic in the back. Close the trunk and run water along the trunk edges, have the small person look for leaks.

    leak

Those drains really dont go anywhere, backside of the taillight area and even if plugged it runs over out of the rear hatch. Car is on flat ground. Most of the time it even has a cover on it. Sometimes it leaks and sometimes it doesnt.

As was stated already, have someone or yourself climb in the car and then run a hose over the hatch to find where the leak is coming from.

i found the leak. its the weatherstrip around the trunk corners. leaking where it attaches to the sheet metal. i dont think the yellow weatherstrip adhesive is the right product for the job. Any ideas?

    New weather stripping?

It's 12 yrs old so it's time to replace....

And I've tried that stuff before. You fix one spot then it moves up, you fix that, next thing you know your chasing it all around.
