My guess is that it not technically street legal since it wasn't an option from the factory.

Yep. And it is on my old lady's Magnum, too. Sux, but I'm pretty sure that's the reason.

hu well I have them on my car but I was wondering why they were so hard to find. I thought it had something to do with the geometry of the car

A lot of the things that we can buy for our cars aren't street legal....

I think it has to do more with the actual geometry of our car like the top poster said. Annoying to go over-axle (from stories a lot of exhaust shops won't even fabricate over axle true duals on our cars), as to why I believe one of the only true systems is dumped(other than the bassani which is for shorties)

Yeah it is all about the difficulties of making them I will probably end having to go to a shop that specializes in F-Body cars since all of the so called performance exhaust shops I have talked to in my area say they will not mess with it. No one wants to go over the axle, the response I always get is its either just not possible or a safety hazard.

bassani and a couple other companies have over the axle dual kits. but often its cheaper to have a local shop fab one up with the mufflers of your choice anyways.
