? Trans Am door emblem

I would like to install chrome or stainless door emblems. I'm not sure if you remove the exsisting ones and if you do how is it done? I would rather not install decals but would like something more permenant. The polished stainless on E-b** look pretty thick so I believe you are looking at removing the stock. Any thoughts?

Try using some nylon fishing line working it behind the letters.

remove the girlls on the sides by just pulling on them with needle nose pliars.

remove the lettering on teh side with a hot hair-blow dryer and the fishingline is a slick move to, kinda like flossing teeth.

have you had any trouble with them falling off? i noticed you're in ohio, an I'm in cincy; I talked to mark spinner and told him that the variable climates we have take a tool on the tape for the door emblems and he should use the thicker stuff on those. Since i've gotten my new set, they are phenomenal and I can't forsee any of them falling off after a few weather cycles.

Your photography skills are quite impressive, how did you achieve the effect? Was it a Photoshop job or is that just the straight picture? If it's the pic, what camera do you use? If it's PS, you should give me a short run-down on how you did it.

Those door emblems would look quite nice on my '02 WS6. I may have to look into it.

I have had no trouble with them falling off. I got new ones this summer to replace the ones in my rear panel and I had a hell of a time getting the old ones off.
