The only thing that would be worse, is if someone actually paid that.

this needs to go over to AAG, in the "why are f-body parts so damn expensive" thread. again, nothing special about a '99 Ws6, A4. it's not the last one made...

further proof, that there are complete idiots who hold keys to these cars...

So you spend $30k-$33k on the car. You sit it for 10+ years with the hopes of getting a sucker to pay $50k for it. What a waste, that money could have been invested to make a profit. Also factor in storage costs and BS like thta I just don't get it.

My buddy bought a Ford Bullitt, think they put the 1st limited edition Bullitts out in '01? Couldn't get green so he bought blue, strike 1. Financed $32k + interest so looking at what..$35k? strike 2. Then had to insure it cause he had it in his garage and his wife is an insurance agent and she wa sscared if it got damaged or stolen, tab for insuring it for 10+ yrs now? Hmm...what maybe another $7k-$9k for bottom end insurance? Strike 3! So now he's invested $42k-$44k for a car that's gonna be worth what? and when? Stupid stupid investment. Oh yea did I mention he drove it occasionally an dit has over 1000 miles on it.

what would be funny is if on the way that it was being shipped the car trailer had a roll over and the insurance pays the guy who bought it off of jackass number one and they only gave him the check for what its really worth lol that would be funny as hell JYNX

    Thats a bit pricey.

I saw better deals last month at auction for some more desirable and more rare 4th gens.

A 2002 SS convertable auto, with SLP options like CME, Lid, etc...with only 19 miles on it sold for $34k

Also a 2002 35th anniversary convertable also an auto, with 22 miles, and a 2002 Firehawk T-top 6 speed with 25 miles. Both of these also sold in the mid $30k range, I just can't remember the exact numbers on them.

Ya, I think he could possibly be in the range of what I saw sell last month. But he would have to take it to places where people are actually active car buyers with some sort of collectability in mind.
I don't think Fleabay is going to do it for him.
