I have traction control and I like it for daily driving, since it rains allot when I live. You just have to be sure to turn it off when you race someone. Basically the traction control system (TSC), shuts down power to the wheels when the sensor feels the tires loose traction on the pavement...ie burnouts, and things of that nature. There is a switch on the lower left panel on the plate just behind the stickshift or autoshift. Its just below the radio. I know my old automatic had a '2nd' button there. Anyways, its just a switch it on and off. It will be auto on every time you start the car.

Yea I figured most of you don't use it most of the time. I'm a good driver so I really don't need it, if anything it makes it worse for me lol. I drove a 02 Z-28 and I was seein what it had and I didnt realize the TCS was on and I made a left and was attempting to get sideways... but the tcs had other plans and bogged down the car and locked the tires so i ended up in someones yard lol. than i turned it off and i ha d a lot of fun

Use it when you need it. I.E. Ice, mud, snow etc. Turn it off when you want to make a scene. I.E. let it burn crazy. BTW, TCS will reduce your overall time if you have it on. Leave it off at the track.

I don't think you're that good of a driver if you end up in a person's lawn with TCS on...

Yea, I always have mine off except during rain and probably snow(never seen snow yet seeing as its summer and I got the car approximately 1 month ago)

No for some reason it locked up everything, i tried to turn the steering wheel too and it was locked too until i slammed the brakes and turned off the tcs... i dunno maybe somethin was wrong with the car. i know when i turned it off, the next turn i got sideways (like 80 degrees) and straightened it up while spinning, so yea i am that good of a driver.

Here is something I copied directly from the owners manual a while back in regards to traction control:

    http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56911

Unless you drive in a lot of rain, its really an annoyance to have it, and most people that drive their fbodies in rain still don't like it and usually have it off. Most people I know that have it, usually get tired of turning it off every time they start the car up.

Thanks. Great info. I would prefer not to have it.

I know of a guy who had it rewired so that the TCS was always off instead of on. He switched it off when he needed to. I'll try to remember where I heard it and what to do.
