    Title work

Can you re-title a salvaged car? I dont think you can here in florida, hence why this florida seller has an alabama title on this car.

Only thing I would say is try to find out what the regulations of your state are.

Here in PA you can file for lost, and reconstructed titles.

Although,, if the car has a title there should'nt be any issue registering it in another state.

Though you may have to pay sales tax again in your state.

You can re title it here in New Mexico but its a real pain in the ass. Id only buy that car if it was a super low price and if i planned to keep it. Because here its so difficult to get it titled. Most people see it as being totaled by the ins co. so they figure its an un safe vehicle plagued with problems.

AL salvage titles are issued when the vehicle has been wreaked and has been repair and deem road worthy by a state inspector. Not sure who the inspector is because we have no state inspections. If the repairs were done properly it should not be a big deal. However know that the vehicle was totaled out by an insurance company. Once it is reported to the state the original title is closed out, if it comes back from the dead it can only get a salvage title form that point on.

    Score

Did you see the Auto check score? So you would spend over 10K on a car sight unseen, been in a wreck with a salvage title and a "below low" auto score? Even if I had an extra 10K to gamble I dont think I would do it.

No I'd take the time to go out and look at it only if I was really wanting a CETA.

Even if you were to get a "clean title" there would most likely be a Vehicle History Report such as CarFax.
Anytime there is an accident report filed by a Police Dept or an insurance claim paid out by a carrier it will appear on mostly CarFax. Both these agencies get paid for reporting. The only time I can think where a total loss is not reported would be if there was no law enforcement report and no insurance claim filed.
There are ways to wash a title through used car dealers and wholesalers but the serial number will always prompt the above mentioned reports. Then you open up a can of worms with a fraud accusation.
