They look nice. But I wonder how long the chrome will stay on the wheel.

You're gonna want at least a 9 inch wide rim, right? The wheel you posted is only 8 inches wide.

That was just a pic. to give you an idea, i have 18x9 on front and 18x10 on back on my 99 transam which is what is recommended for my car by boyds. Give them a call with your info of your vehicle and they will get you sorted, have had my wheels for four years and love them and easy to maintain with blingmaster polish. Also American Racing supply boyds wheels if thats any help.

why would they recommend a wheel that is larger in diameter than what came from the factory? why add more rotational mass for no apparent benefit? an increase in rim width i can understand, but not diameter.
im running BC Smoothie II's 17x10 on all four corners of my SS. (285/40/17 Front, 315/35/17 Rear)...

how the hell are you Shady!?
that goes without saying in terms of appearance, that's why i didn't bother to bring it up...lol
18's, imo, are to much rim for these cars. 17's are in proportion when combined with sidewall tire height in respect to the shape and size of f-body cars, unless you run 15's w/some MEAT, for a track set-up that just look awesome and serve function as well.

I like the wheels and as far as Chrome goes I have had my 18x8.5f and 10r for 3 yrs and the chrome looks as good as the day I put them on. I though about polished 17" tt2's but disn't wanna wait and the had the 18's in stock and after I installed them I was happy with the 18's not a great track size but the hold good on backroads at high speed and you can get plenty of sidewall on them. I run 35'series on my rear but you can run a 40 series like a 17 just gotta program the computer for the new size and even with 35 series bfg's the car rides good and have never damaged a rim on a pothole yet. Course I like the Chrome shine and have come wheels on 2 of my 3 vehicles and it is easy to clean and a quick polish every 6 months and they always shine.

^^^about the chrome, just sayin' bc I've seen a lot of aftermarket chrome aluminum wheels in the shop over the last 10 years where the chrome peels and the wheels are less than 5 years old.

I usually buy American Racing and brands I have luck with over the years so I haven't had aftermarket wheels peel on any of my vehicles yet. Only peeling issue I had was the factory 16". I have some 22" GIO (no name kinda) wheels and I have had them for 4 yrs and they look new still. All about taking care of the wheels. Although if it's a DD and you drive in the snow and salt you may wanna get a winter set since that may cause peeling to develope.
