    temperature gauge fluctuating

im new at this so sorry if im postin this in the wrong place....but i just purchased a 2000 trans am and the temperature is randomly over heating and then returning to normal every once in a while, while i am driving. The car is def not overheating i know its just the gauge. Just wondering if any1 had anything similar to this happen?

Change your thermostat out first. If not it could be your waterpump. I take it you've checked your coolant level?
