    TCS question

i have a question about the traction control. i have a buddy that owns a BMW 325-i and he said that he always keeps his off because he gets better fuel economy. i know that his beemer is a completely different car than my TA but i was just curious if anyone has ever noticed getting better gas mileage while keeping it off

that's what i figured. im not real worried about gas mileage even though prices are up to $3.50/gallon here but i just thought i would see if anyone had ever noticed this. i also figured that IF it was giving me better mileage then it wasnt that much to even notice

i could be wrong when i say this but on those high end cars just doing the switch aslo chagges the programing making the car act different, ( like red lining, shift points, and may HP) not 100% sure thoe. but i know that on out cars that it just basically means that the car wont be able to spin.

    glad to help you

Yea, BMW TCS is something completely different from F-Body TCS. The TCS on our cars is very simple, a throttle limiter when the tires loose traction. Turning it off doesnt make a damn bit of difference for us. I leave it off anyway tho because I dont want some idiot box limiting my foot.
