    TB/MAF Question...

    Im not sure where this is supposed to be posted so please please dont jump me fellas.. Im just trying to learn about my car... I am buying a 80 mm TB... could I even do 85mm with just either an SLP lid or Volant?... Do I need to purchase a new MAF being the Stock MAF and TB is 78mm? Sounds like an easy question, but Im trying to learn... Thanks...

    yes I would purchase the SLP MAF 85mm, for $170 bucks. you'd gain upto 10hp overall

    but it's hard to dyno tune with an aftermarket MAF and I've seen plenty of guys make 500hp on the stock MAF.

    If anything i heard the SLP HP claims were overrated, granitelli doesnt do anything and the best thing you can do aside from stock which os ok is go with the ZO6 MAF which is probaby the best MAF you can get (so i've heard) will give you all you need and not hurt your engine..

    A lot of tuners here will not tune on an aftermarket MAF and stock TB and and MAF is all you need unless you are going to push 500-600 plus horse from what I hear.

    Just take a dremel tool and make your own ported maf housings. Match it to the inner diameter of the maf senser itself and polish it smooth. This gets rid of the protective screen also.
