ta exhaust
well tomorrow is the birds first trip to the track (weather permitting) i will running againts my buddy and his 08 gt with k &n intake and a flowmaster muffler me 01 ta with lid and installing magnaflow cat back tomorrow morning how hard of an install is that? anybody got any tips

most people say its harder to get the stock one off then to get the aftermarket on but i think most people can do it in about 2 hours

the magnaflow catback isnt too bad. I did it one night after work. You will have to cut the factory exhaust to get it off...think I cut mine in two places. Far as the install, an extra set of hands to hold everything in place while you line everything up would be helpful. You can do it alone though...just might take you a couple of times to get it setting like you want it.

i used to beat the newer gt's with my former lt1....you shouldnt have any problem doin it with the ls1.

just cut the stock somewhere in the curve over the axle . . . other than that pretty easy. i have the dual dual tips and took many times to adjust to exactly how i wanted them.

08 GT's are slow as fuck, i raced one with the intake, lid and a tune an killed killed him by 3 cars, i didnt even consider that a race, good luck tho

took me like a half hour to take off stock and put on the magnaflow.....but of course i had to waste some time drivin around with no cat-back in between
so maybe an hour?

i wouldn't call GTs slow, but they are the same weight and have 50 less horsepower, 30 less torque.

well just as an update got the new exhaust on sounds great and you guys were right took 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get old one off (lots of cutting) but only about 20 mins to put new one on thank you so much for the helpful tips

havent raced yet rained last 2 thursday test and tunes last week was super chevy so hopefully this coming thursday
