    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

send a letter to GM explaining your disgust...they should reply back. Not.

It's just a shame-it's happened to all of us. Too much torque? Faulty manufacturing? hot/cold weather changes?

I just did that fix to mine and it worked very well. The passenger side you can't tell at all. The driver side is noticeable but that's because I didn't catch it early enough. If you buy used, I would do this fix right away before you put them on.

yeah it's on my new one but not on the old bird. I didn't really read through it, was it a pain or was it pretty easy

Did a preventive strike on my panels, also. I did not see anything unless I looked really close, but after taking them off it was worse on the backside. I recommend everybody do this to their door panel when they can find the time. Not too hard, either.

Can someone explain what to do or what to look for in regards to the door crack. What can I do to prevent it from happening?

I just completed doing both doors on my 2000 WS6. Ended up totally replacing the skin on the driver side since I could not fix it cosmetically. I was able to fix the passenger side. Removed about 6 of those industerial staples and used wire instead.

I heard the trick was not to put the windows all the way down. This keeps the panel from flexing

Best thing to do is remove the first 3 staples to take the pressure off (you will understand when you look at it!) Then get some 2-part epoxy and just reinforce the problem area. Just a poor design because they left plastic out of an area where they shouldn't have.

This is a great link to read how to fix the problem, and where to look for it on your car. I fixed my car after reading about it. I subscribe to HP Pontiac.
