    Sub Frame

    Hey everybody, I have to pull me k-member to get to my oil because its leaking and wanted to know how i should hold the engine up? I see there is one to hold it up on the left side but not the right. Thanks

    yeah not sure what your trying to do? f-bodies are unibody, aka no subframe like a pickup truck, thats why we we bend and flex when we have too much torque

    no i think he could be talking about the front of his oil pan..that would be above the K ......however i still dont see why he needs to

    well you can rent a engine host ..or at least for the ls1s...you could just jack the engine up with a piece of wood in between the jack and the oil pan ..then put 1 or two jack stands ..its basically what you do for a motor mount change ...(this is ls1..not sure about lt1) you lift the engine like so then you remove the long bolt at the motor mounts..then the engine is free of the chassis
