    Stumped big time

Ok so my SES light flips on and some known issues for the car is the fuel indicator is way off so I replaced the fuel pump and bam it goes away. Several miles of driving it flips on again so i take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Scams the codes it comes back the MAF needs replaced and the passenger cat is clogged, obtain both pieces as well as new rear o2's get everything slapped on and I cleaned MAF and TB, noticed SLP lid gasket on inside was coming off so I replaced that as well. SES Light is gone but 40 miles later it comes back on. Now autozone can't scan my PCM because for whatever reason their handheld tuners don't connect (cig lighter fuse and all fuses are fine and not blown) the big 8 grand tuners connect just fine. So at this point I'm thinking maybe vacuum leak so I take some MAF cleaner shoot around the intake and TB not a change in RPM indicating leak. The only thing I can think it may be is the AMP meter on dash sits on the 3/4 mark and when testing battery it was deemed needing replaced In the near future, could that attribute to my issue??? Reason why I haven't bought battery is because it's going to storage in 2 weeks.

without the code it's anyone's best guess as to what could be going on. No reason an autozone scanner shouldn't connect....believe they just use actron code readers. Low battery voltage can cause some issues but if the car starts and runs fine I doubt it's low enough to cause you any problems.

Do you have after market exhaust, headers, or Y pipe and/or do you still have the secondary air and EGR system..?

Air EGR in place only mod is magnaflow catback...I'm putting it away in a week so may just kick it down till spring time to figure it out. I'm thinking about buying a predator tuner but with the autozone tuners not hooking up makes me nervous that it won't work.

Im wondering if the egr inlet at the top of the intake is causing a vacuum leak...I had that happen and it started throwing maf codes. Usually you can hear the air leak or if you put your hand on top of it and apply pressure the cars idle and tone will change just a little bit.

EGR and PCV systems are the usual culprits for any lean issues, but like 0rion stated, without the code it is difficult to say. Our cars do not like it when battery voltage gets a bit off -- have read about some weird issues over the years. Was the passenger side cat going bad from what you could see?

Ha it was rattling when I shook it, like I said performance is fine not running lean or anything. I'll try to post a video of the car running and let you guys hear it.
