I'd have to say your school dyno is busted!LOL Cause you should be puttin' down way more than that!

You should be putting down at most 305 and at least 290 to the REAR WHEELS. And you should be well into the 13s at the track.

Might be something going on with your car. Any codes being thrown?

its a V-8 alright.. its throwing some low voltage 02 sensor codes..the trans has some problems i know, its kind of hard to explain. it feels like it wants to shift, then changes its mind for a couple seconds then shifts, so it kind of jerks you around in the car..i was going to throw some different gears out back this year and get a tune but im thinking im just gonna waste my money if my car isnt running right in the first place

My previous 2000 A4 put down 314 with a lid. LS1 autos generally put down 290 to 305 range.

how much HP do you lose from the flywheel to the wheels? it was a mustang dyno. the teacher said i was probably putting 60-65% of my engine power to the wheels and when u did the math my engine had over 300hp. the thing that ticks me off even more is that i have a lid and a catback and im still down on the power

Ah wow, you shouldnt lose anywhere near 40%, try 20%, all ls1s make 350 crank hp and losing 20% would put you at 280 to the wheels, which is where you should be. You have a problem if you are putting 200 wheel hp down and running high 14s at sea level.

Yep, if you have an LS1 280rwhp should be the minimum. I've never really seen many people dyno less than 300rwhp with an LS1 let alone 280.

Have you changed plugs, fuel filter, wires, cleaned the maf lately? How many miles are on it? Something sounds very wrong.
