Stock 2000 Corvette rims on a 99 LS1 trans am
need a little help with spacers. Simply looking for "stock" look in regards to depth and I have looked around just curious if anyone has pics or suggestion to spacers and where to buy.
tire sizes are 275/40ZR18 and 245/45ZR17
-Not a z-06 that the wheels came off
Any help greatly appreciated.
The car I have owned since 2000 and starting mild restoration with my 6&8 year old girls who will eventually drive it.
Shocks will be next.Last edited by ron d; 07-30-2015 at 04:09 AM.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but the offset on Corvette wheels should be pretty close to F body needs and should not negatively impact fitment to your car/alignment. What you will need to consider are larger rear bump stops and its shim/spacer for the larger rear wheels.

I'm running a set of the N73 Corvette wheels (17 and 18 inch) from that same year on my WS6 with no problems at all. The N73s are known to sit inward just a bit more than the regular rims. I'm running Nitto 555 rubber in 275/35ZR-18 and 245/45ZR-17. No rubbing from any angle. I went with the 35 ratio in the rear to keep the front and rear outside diameters as close to equal as possible to ensure the ABS and traction control didn't start fighting with the wheels.

The suspension rebuild kit and front shocks are on. For the rear tires to fit I have that bump stop to contend with. I think it just getting cut off. I'd rather not use spacers and looking for thoughts?

Take a look at this thread on replacing the bump stop. Some good photos and recommendations: http://www.ls1.com/forums/f66/where-...-99-ta-159570/
