Squeak from the back seat
When the backs seats are folded up in my 2000 WS6, the hook that keeps them from folding down makes a god-awful squeaking noise. I would imagine this is a common issue with the fold down seats. The previous owner appears to have tried a duct tape remedy, but alas, it was to no avail.
Does anyone have a good technique to cure this problem (other than duct tape)? Thanks in advance!

There is a block of styrofoam attached to the inside of that plastic panel that is between the body of the car and the rear seat (sort of like a door panel for the back seat). This styrofoam is the most likely cause of your squeak.
Why any auto manufacturer would put styrofoam inside an automobile is beyond me. It is like asking to have squeaks appear inside your car. You would think GM would know better than make such a rookie mistake.
