    Speaker Rattle?

    The speaker right behind the driver seat rattles when I crank the base. Sounds like a screw fell out, like bb's being dropped on a glass table. Annoying as fuck. Is this rattle common, what are the fixes? I am tearing it apart tommorrow but I am helping someone drop a cam in today. All I know is it drives me fucking nuts.

    Mine would rattle also so i just put some sound absorbing material behind them and now they only rattle if i turn the volume up extremely high.

    Man...i've had the same exact problem since I bought the car. When the bass hits hard, the one behind driver rattles extremely loud. Luckily I usually don't have the bass up, but I would like to get it fixed.

    Can you let me know what the problem was?

    Are you sure it is not blown? Mine would rattle when they would blow up. Bought 2 new speakers/subs until I decided what I really needed was more bass. My fix was a couple 10s with an amp, now I have all the base I want, and I left the rest of the Monsoon alone.

    I had the rattle it was the surround ripping from old age. I just got a new set from gmparts online.
    1998 Trans Am 85k miles.
