blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
are you sure it is a misfire ? are you throwing a code ? i would check your maf first, make sure it is clean..but i would also check your fuel system...hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the rail to see whats going on. i would also replace your fuel filter if you have not done so already

What shady said. Fuel pressure should read around 58psi.

my friend has a tuning software it read 32 misfires every 100sec after replacing the plug...so it missfired more..started at 16 every 100sec(cyl3)....and i did the filter last season.nope no code eaither and i did the pressure test came out fine...idk ive tried it all...it did the same bogg down last year it was a vaccum leak...but not now all checks out...im lost and have tried alot of stuff.

id start to look into the injector on #3 ...also may be time to at least crack the valve cover and make sure #3 doesnt have a really bent pushrod and check the state of the springs and rocker arms

You never answered if you have a SES light on....
Another thought is the cats going bad. This would cause power loss and not necessarily trigger a code.

Sorry overlooked that...no codes and I do not have cats on the car...full customduels.

OK then I would definitely start with the MAF cleaning. spark plugs themselves and fuel pressure.
If you have a bent pushrod you would probably here some ticking which would get louder as you rev'd the engine.

Sure can.. If you're running a K&N throw it away and go back to the cheap old paper.. The gains from the k&n are highly questionable. I've seen dyno numbers of only 1-2 hp gains and even some that were about the same as running a paper filter.. Most auto parts carry MAF cleaner, and many of us here use CRC MAF cleaner..

Did you change your wires?? If so check to make sure they are ok. When I changed mine, I threw away the heat sheilds from the stock wires. I then installed the MSD wires and over time the wires twisted and flexed and ended up hitting my headers. It did the exact same thing you mentioned and it wasnt untill I pulled them off that I saw it was burned. Make sure you didnt break/damage any sensors.
