SLP Lid coming unlatched
I just installed the SLP Lid on my 02 WS6, and the latch on the passanger side comes loose every time I drive the car. Anybody else have this issue?

Mine was doing the samething when I first installed it and I had to drop the front of the lid on the inside of the filter area instead of the outside. The lid does not fit very well at all.

Your going to have to make sure it is pushed back to the point it sits behind the, platform or whatever you want to call it, if the lid hangs over it will not latch right. Just work with it if anything you can shave off some plastic where the back of the lid meets the maf, overall that is what is holding it form going back all the way...

Blue 1997 Trans Am(Sold)- Pewter 2001 Trans Am Vert
every damn SLP lid fits differently... a couple things to watch out for, first off the front corners are on the outside edge and the middle front is on the inside of the lip. I found my slp fit snug with my stock bellow but once I put in my SLP smooth bellow it was way the hell out so I ended up having to trim a bit off of it and twist the maf and bellow to just the right areas to make both sides line up to the same spot.
Hope that helps.

Thanks
Thanks for the advise everybody. I pushed it back to get the lid on the back of the front lip of the box and it seems to be holding.

I cut my bellow about a 1/4 inch just before the MAF..that 1/4 inch allowed it to lock tight.

Metallic Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS.6
Th same thing was happening to me. My lid did not fit completly over the throttle body. I took a heat gun and heated up the lid so that the plastic expanded and fit over the TB. I also put in a K&N, which came with a seal that made it fit tighter as well.

Same problem here on my SLP lid. I didn't cut it but I did push it all the way back against the TB and it seems to be holding. I've had it for a lil over 2 years and it has yet to cause any major concerns.
