yea its definately worth it. You will gain 5-10hp. You can't beat that for the price. A lid is the first mod everyone should do.

it is a definate buy. the 129 kit i believe inclused the MAFC smooth elbow as well, but just the lid summit racing has them for 102.95 free shipping. IF you do find it cheaper they will beat the price.

Yeah, you'll get a small gain from it, but as far as feeling a 5 or 10 hp difference? I'm not so sure about that.. Unless other people's butts are just more sensitive than mine.

I tested mine at the drag strip and picked up about a half a tenth in et and maybe half a mph. It is a good first mod the SLP lid fits great. You can hear a difference so your ass will think it feels a difference. Just my .02. Good luck.

As a power adder it is dyno proven. Just one word of consideration though, my SLP lid rubs on my aftermarket hood. I can't raise the hood and it is going to be tough lowering the lid.

This looks ghetto and all but to avoid the rubbing problem I had I added a 3 inch piece of AC foam attached with double sided tape to the underside of teh hood where teh lid rubbed. IT got rid of my problem. Adn unless you pop the hood and look up at the underside of teh hood you won't even know its there.

I have the SLP lid and an aftermarket hood and it doesn't rub on mine. Fits like a champ. I did have a smooth bellow that caused the lid to not fit properly on the airbox. No matter what I tried, could not get an good fit. Removed the smooth bellow and went back to the stock piece and it fit like a champ.

headers.... you got air comming in...no get it out of the engine. To stay emmissions legal you have to go with shorty headers like JBA. But shorty headers are like 2-3 times the price of the ebay LTs.
