    SLP Lid

I have an 02 Bird and I am going to get a lid. I am a little confused about the breather. Am I supposed to route the tube that is in the stock air box back into the SLP lid or do I cap off that hole and put a breather into that tube?

If you purchase the correct unit meant for the 2001-2002 cars, it will come with the adaptor plug/tube to go to the existing air tubing.

That's the 'correct' way to do it.
Some people have plugged the hole & purchased a small breather to fit in the AIR tubing also.

im from jersey, and all i needed was a hose too, so i took a ride to SLP and for $25 i got it plus extra connectors. not too bad for getting the real correct parts. i actually went last week.

ya i made the mistake of getting the lid, maf, bellows (which isnt to bad), headers, high flow cats, ORY, Gears. kinda shot myself in the foot.

oh man...you were hosed...thats a real bummer. I got the lid because it had good fitment and sounds nice at wide open throttle. Im guessing you bought that stuff before you found this site?
