I was wondering if a slight tick noise was common on ls1's. i was told that it was, i would just like another opinion. I would say that it's not normal but i just want to find out what you guys think..thanks

we have all been there it depends when u say a slight tick all the time or just at start up.If its at start up very common if u have it after warm up might be a problem. Our engines are noisy they sound like old sewing machines.

yeah it happens when it's warm. And it's so very slight. but sitting next to a wall at micky d's i did hear it. I think it's going to be one of those things that i might have to watch to see if it gets worse..

    Do you have headers?
headers are thinner than the stock manifolds and allows more noise through. It often sounds like a tick. Slightly loose header bolts or worn header gaskets can also cause a tick.
