Is this how the mod should lood for the skip shift, ie disconnected from the plug on the left side. The skip shift is disabled but the light still comes on.

If you wanna get rid of the light and the other small tid bits you've been having, I'm going to recommend getting a mail order tune again

That skip shift POS was and is a joke.

I heard a rumor that the engineer who came up with was tar'ed and feathered by a group of WS6 owners.....

    skip shift

I guess you bought your car used and it was disconnected. If connected its a pain in the a__ and locks out 2nd fron leaving a stop.

I've always had the skip shift installed on mine but never liked the light coming on. So when I got HPtuner and tuned that out,,,,no more light, just left the skip shift adapter in place. I prefer to skip shift when I feel like and not have the computer make me do it
I generally do it differently once up to speed (3rd-5th or 4th-6th) I didn't like the 1st-4th thing.

For those that still have it, taking the engine above 3,000 rpm in first turns it off.

Less frustration while shifting gears from 1st in low rpms. Like when your in town going light to light but are not trying to race it. It got very annoying. Glad mines gone.

Yep, and if you putt around at low rpms and don't want the skip shift, you can double clutch it and it turns it off too. But again, it's all just a pain in the butt whether you double clutch, or wind the thing out over 3000 rpms, so eliminating it is simply the best option.
