Shaved side moldings
Does anyone have any pictures of shaved body moldings? A friend of mine told me to do it, and i've seen it mentioned on here, I just dont know how it would look and if it would benefit the looks. Thanks!

I had to replace mine but so I 1st though of the shaved look and it looks great without the door lettering. To me it made the trans am lettering look to big so I put the molding on till I have time to sprays the side skirts and airbrush some lettering so it's flush.

SOMETIMES they'll peel right off, but its best to be safe and use a hair dryer and something like fishing line

after taking off the side molding do i have to get it painted or would it come out fine? i had never thought of doing this and im debating on doing it myself or taking to a body shop.

mine was 15 years old and it came out just fine.. it could depend on the color of your car though.... in my past i have seen where red colors tend to fade more... if you pull the molding off the paint under may not have faded the same as the rest of the car.... just something to think about.
