ses light turned itself off?

hello everyone...threw a p0430 code, my passenger cat is going to crap i guess...but the ses light turned it self off last night after being on for a month or so...does the computer store the code and turn the ses light after a while or what? car runs fine still, just sort of bad gas mileage, like 14-15 miles to the gallon...

the way it works is it'll turn off if it doesn't repeat the error in so many ignition cycles. How many miles do you have on your car and what is your build date? Might qualify for the extended cat warranty of 10 years 120k miles. Read post 13 in THIS thread. Look at the vin break too and make sure you meet that also.

Maybe a lazy '02 sensor? If it happens again swap the sensors -that'll help tell you if its the cat or sensor.

right now i have 106,xxx miles and its a 2000...ive had the stealership replace the drivers side cat like a month after i bought it in '08...and when i had my diablo sport tuner (before it got stolen from me) a trouble code would come up for the passenger side o2 sensor heating circuit or sumthing like that, cant remember off the top of my head...but if they can replace the passenger side cat, that would be great! if not, i just registered the car, so i have about a year to replace it if the dealership wont

i looked at the vin break and i my car falls into it...but the cars build date i think was june 2000 so its already over 10 years old...so i dunno if its covered, might not be anymore

how do u find the built date of our cars, because i am having problems with my cats.
