sel my 79 for LS1?
here are some pics if you can see them. if not i can re post the thread.
what do you think its worth? how much should i sell it for?
it a numbers matching 1979 trams am, 403 olds, 3 speed automatic, original snowflake wheels, been re-painted by previous owner (few minor flaws in paint), and most of interior has been re-done. has AC, but needs a belt and probably a recharge of R12. i will probably get some things fixed on it before i sell it.
i was thinking 13,000?
any input will help every much. thanks guys!!!Last edited by 09turbo; 05-28-2009 at 10:49 AM.

I would never sell that sweet car, but if you must I would say 14,000-14,500 would be a good price. Especially after you fix those few minor flaws. Alot of people are looking for that particular year Trans Am and some are pretty desperate.
1998 Firebird, 17" chrome ZR1 rims, 275s front and back, magnaflow exhaust, LED green accents on exterior, blue neon accents in interior, new Sony sound system; replaced all stock speakers, two 12s, two tweeters, Xplod 1600 watt amp, and Xplod radio head unit

Black as black can be- 2001 Trans Am WS6
Damn I just sold an all numbers matching 79' Z28 all black new slick paint, factory borg warner 4 speed, 3:73 gears, with redone all blue factory interior, with the original motor, but with double hump heads, and comp .484 lift cam, the car was very nice and ran awesome, 13.60's in the quarter was my best time in it, and I sold it for $4,000, I didnt think them year cars were worth a whole lot, man that sucks I see you guys saying 14,500 and more for that 79' trans am, hopefully its cause its trans am, cause I have a 01 WS6 all black with 6 speed and lots of goodies that I would sell for $14,500 lol...and I would never trade the car I have now back for the 79' Z28 even though it was nice...the 01' WS6 is just soooo much better than I cant describe, and the new vettes.... my buddy just got an 09 Z06 and its just amazing, the handling is like an F-18 and the takeoff is like a top fuel......
