Scan tools - Are these even useful anymore?

I use a Diablo Predator with my my '02 TA, but a guy at work that used to mod his TA cleaned out his office and gave me 2 tools with all the cables.

THey are:
1) AutoTap AT1 Diagnostic scanner. Looks like it just hook up to a PC to get real time data on the car. Doesn't look like you can change the flash with this.

2) EFILive Scan/tune. It says personal and vin limit 2of5. No manual with this one. No idea how it works.

Are these still used by people or have they been passed up by other technologies?
If they are useful, I guess I'd sell them.
