Safe to drive?
I broke my sensor yesterday, and the temp guage needle was still not working in the morning. So today i went to see what xactly i needed. I pulled the little rubber gormet off the sensor and plugged the actuall sensor back into the engine. That little rubber peice clipped on to a latch so it wont come loose. I taped everything back together (temporarily until i get a new sensor) and everything looks A ok. The check guage sign went away and the thermostat seems to work. I took it for a spin and it works just like it did b4 i broke it. The fans stopped comming on as well. Can i still drive the car, or do u guys think i shud throw it in a garage untill i get the new part??

it should be okay to drive to keep a close eye on it, the part is cheap and easy to replace so atleast you wont have to drive it for long with your custom repair. i wouldnt be afraid of damaging the motor because the ls motors are extremely durable, but at the end of the day it is your car and your call whether you want to drive it or not, i say go for it.
