Black on Black on Black- 2002 Camaro SS Vert
Interesting article. If you hit the link at the bottom it goes to the company in Australia that does the conversions from left drive to right drive. Some cool pics of work they have done. It just goes to show that for the right amount of money anything is possible no matter where you live.....

Damn nice work on the conversions. I assume "electric hood" is Aussie speak for what we call a trunk?
(Never mind -- I'll take a "duh" on that one. I was thinking the electric hatch in our car, not the top)Last edited by pajeff02; 05-28-2009 at 06:05 PM. Reason: Late night stupidity after a long day

Black on Black on Black- 2002 Camaro SS Vert
I went back and re-read the article again. Here are a few interesting quotes:
"The concept of open-air motoring and good ol' fashion grunt power has been effectively fused together to create this immensely enjoyable lifestyle machine."
"Fuel consumption is expectedly horrendous at around 17-litres per 100 km/h - lucky there's a 64-litre fuel tank (5-litres larger than those found in earlier models)."
"WS6 TA convertibles are quite rare, however - good luck trying to find one to Australia."
"With the electric ragtop buzzed down, the TA overwhelms the senses with the wind ripping through your hair and the beat of the bent eight bring along its tune out back. It's easy to get in and never, never want to get out."
"The TA's body muscles glisten from a mile away - there's certainly no mistaking it for a delicately sculpted Japanese or sophisticated Euro convertible. "
"as reported by one American road tester, "getting out of a 'Vette into a Trans Am is like moving from an easy chair onto a wooden stool."
you get the idea.....

2000 Pontiac Trans Am Convertible Fast Facts...
Standard LS1 V8 sounds great and offers good acceleration
Poor fuel economy
Easy to use electric hood
Best used as a fun weekender
Looks fantastic - guaranteed to turn heads
Build quality not great
Expensive
i disagree with half of those

It interesting to see the brake master cylinder on the RH side and the A/C line going to the LH side. Also did anyone notice the repeater turn signal lamps a few inches forward of the doors?
