Can the ls1 take much bouncing off the rev limiter?I've done it a couple of times by accident, how much can the stock pushrods take?

Never bent any hitting the rev limiter but I did do the 3rd,2nd grab. That cost me a few bucks. Aguy I know just did it last week hitting the rev limiter though. I'm sure if you do it too many times it's not going to help.

My rev limiter is gone and I've hit 6,800 probally about 5 times and never had any problems. I'd hit 6,800 with traction during drag races to put me deep into my powerband.

I hit the rev limiter in 3rd about 7k doing about 110, passed 4 cars in a row with one coming head on. The only thing it seemed to hurt was my clutch i noticed it started slippin after that ordeal.

I would get chrome molys so you don't have to worry about it! especially since you have a m6.

Yeah with chrome moly's your bottom end would probably scatter before you'd bend a pushrod.

I did the 3rd to second one topped out, rear tires locked up and squeeled, then I pushed clutch back in immediatly. Still not as embarrassing as hitting neutral at a drag strip.
