Repair question
My car was recently hit by a lady and has damage to the door and rear fender. The insurance is wanting to just fix the door via fiberglass repair. What I want to know is will this effect the value of the car. Would it be better for collector reasons to go with a new door or will repairing it this way be just as good. Thanks

Depends on your insurer as to how much control you have over the repair parts. State Farm screwed us on the repairs to my wife's Challenger -- had to use aftermarket replacement parts and the fit and finishes (plastic textures) were just not the same. The fact that insurance is involved means that your car already took a hit on value -- it'll show up on the vehicle history part now in all likelihood.
