Pearl Yellow- 1990 Z32 TT
Recomendations please
I am in the market for a for a firebird. I have wanted a WS6 Formula for a while. I would like to know what is the best trim and year (98-02) to buy before I start looking too hard for a Firebird. Please give me any suggestions and opinions you may have.

Pearl Yellow- 1990 Z32 TT
to those who don't know
Z32 is a Nissan 300zx from 1990 to 1996 in the U.S. and 1990 to 2000 in Japan and Australia.
Please someone give some input on which of the following to buy.
Formula
Formula WS6
Trans Am
Trans Am WS6
All 98 to 02 of course.

Formula ws6s are rarer...
they all perform equally.. ws6s have a wee bit better of this and that.. mostly its a hood and a badge.
If you want a sleeper get a formula.. get a trans am for the show... and if you want a little bit more get a ws6 trans am... basically get what you think looks good.

black- 2002 Trans Am
I would be happy with any '02, as long as it has an LS1 and 6 speed.
The WS6 has the looks.
The regular TA means business.
And I've always thought the Formula's were hot. Love the sleeper look.
Since the cars are not in production any more, being too picky about getting a particular model may limit your chances of getting a decent car, also cause you to pass up a good deal.
Just my 2 cents.........

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
If you want a REAL Formula WS6, you have to look for a '98-'00. For '01 and '02, WS6 was only available on the Trans Am.
Personally the Formula is my favorite, I like the sleeper look. Be aware that the WS6 Fomula is a rare Bird though, for instance they only made about 250 of them in '00.
The T/A is much more common, I believe the WS6 T/A production alone was more than the total Formula production.
The only difference is cosmetic, and the T/A has more standard luxo features. You could order a Formula with most of the same features though, I think the only thing the T/A had better was the seats.
If you really want the Formula, just keep looking, and don't settle. You'll find one eventually, but it might take longer than if you were looking for a T/A.
When I was looking for mine I would have taken either actually, I just lucked out in that I found a nice Formula first.
Oh, and as far as WS6, not much performance bonus over standard cars, it's mostly looks. If you can do w/out the hood, no reason to buy a WS6 car, but if you'd add the hood and wheels later on, you're probably dollars ahead buy bying a real WS6 right off the bat.

The Superhawk hood doesnt have the separator for the drop down on the bumper cover and the "nostriles" on the hood correct? I found a '00 formula with 70,000mi in pewter for $7500. The T/A looks sweet but a little too overdone and I hate factory leather seats. I like the sleekness and the aggressive stance of the Formula. I agree with the everyone who says get the Formula and make it the way I want. It seems the best way to go. Start with all the necessary options, cruise, power windows, power mirrors and power locks and personalize it with a superhawk hood, black painted 18's polished lip wheels, Slp loudmouth, Koni yellows and eibach springs. How does that sound? The only thing that I don't like about the Formula is the spoiler I prefer the T/A spoiler.

I really enjoy my baseline T/A with the low hood. It has everything I've wanted in a T/A. Thought I wanted a WS6 or Firehawk hood but, I really enjoy my low hood now.
The car is telling me something so, I guess I'll listen to her. Wouldn't give that time of day to a women of course. Which is why I'm single again........lol......sob.
Anyway, if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably still want the baseline for whatever reason I do not know.
