    Rear Seat Delete

So I'm taking the rear seats out of my car...everything is unhooked except for the seatbelt lol...what do I do with it? Where do I unhook it to get the back part of the seat out (not the cushions) and what do I unhook it with? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you talking about the seat rest? It is held on by 2 hooks next to the speakers in the back.

You need a set of torx bit. T50 and its either t40 or t45(seatbelt stuff). You also need a 13mm.

Bottom seats are held in by ONE 13mm up front a piece

Rear Upper is held in on the bottom/side by TWO 13mms.

You also need a larger size metric wrench for the seat belt assembly. I forget the size but its like a 18ishmm.

I just did it to both my birds less than a month ago. I took carpet from walmart and took my carpet up and slid under the spots where the carpet has been cut. Then I steamed/ iron the old carpet down and cleaning it and it lays very flat.

I got it finally lol. Everything is super easy to do, it just took me a while to get the right bit. Wasn't paying attention and got a set that only went up toT-30, then took those back for a T-50, then got the T-45.
ksstamp09: The cushions maybe weigh 5lbs each, and the back rest had some weight to it...not sure how much though. I can weigh everything tomorrow.

ive thought about doing this. Ive only had one person ever sit back there. I really dont like having more then one person in my car because it feels alot slower to me I need to save any weight I can.
