Real one??
Just seen this on ebay and i am curious...
Pontiac : Firebird Trans-Am WS6 | eBay
He lists it as a real WS6 yet the RPO sticker does not show WS6
and the lower sticker shows it as having 16" rims???
What am i missing here?

I see 17", not 16" wheels, aftermarket throttle body, and aftermarket long tube headers. Looking at the upside down dyno numbers, I dont think its stock internally, but pretty close to stock. Maybe a cam. Super clean car though. Looks nice. I know there is a website you can go to and punch in the VIN to determine what the car was from the factory. Im not sure of the site address though, sorry. That will tell you if it is indeed a true factory WS6.
1998 Pontiac TA, stock heads, FAST 90, FAST 90 TB, FLP LT, off road y-pipe with cat delete, flow master muffler, comp cams 54-457-11 223/231-610/617-112 LSA, Pro charger D1SC with FMIC @ 8psi, FROST tune, VIG 3200 stall, built 4l60e, snow meth kit, MOSER 12 bolt 373 gears, Derale 13900 trans cooler.

I see the rims that are on the car look correct but surely it would have 17" on the sticker?

Silver- '02 Trans Am WS-6, 6M
The reason why the door stickers do no show the WS6 package and the tire placard shows 16 inch wheels is that the door was taken from a 3.8l V6 Firebird model. The VIN on the door has the 8th digit as a "K" which is the 3.8 v6, but the VIN plate on the windshield has a "G", which is for an LS1 car. The door (to the least) has been replaced.
Run the vin (on the windshield) to make sure its a real WS6, but also get a Carfax report to see if any accidents were reported. My money is the Carfax will say there was, but maybe the guy replaced the door because the edge got cracked when someone opened it into a hard object (composite panels) and had the whole car repainted as well (I didnt notice signs of paint inconsistancy that would usually come with blending in body panels, which is really easy to spot on bright red painted cars).

Ahhh.....
All makes sense. I figured the car was not completely legit in some way!
