    ram air kits for ws6 99 t/a

Has anyone had any experience with a ram air kit? Converting the scoops on a 98 and up t/a to be functional and work? Is there a worthy kit out there that has some feedback on it? I saw one on line that has a metal pan and some foam but failed to see where it would make any difference.

Assuming you have a ramair hood and the holes are already cut out, from my personal experience I really like the SLP cold air induction kit. My '01 was already a WS6 so the hood scoops are functional, I changed over the SLP I had in my '99 and I could tell a big difference. Looking at your information with your avatar pic, I see you have a 30th Ann. edition, it should have the WS6 package, so the hood scoops should already be functional. I don't know if this has been any help to you, but I tried

The Brian Green ram air kit is the best one I've seen but thats been discontinued for a long time now.
The one with the plate and foam is the JAAM ram air kit. I have that one. Its ok...kinda neat. Its definitely not a kit that seals the hood to the airbox completely.

"funcional" ram air kits are pointless, invest in something else

    Fixed

This stuff has been gone over many times.
Even if you sealed the hood to the Airbox and removed all the baffles you would only gain approx 3 HP @ 100+ mph.
