    Question Ram Air hood purchase

Anyone ever purchase a Trufiber ram air hood from ws6store.com? If so what were the pros and cons?

You get what you pay for. I got a US Exotics WS9 hood. Needed tons of prep, lots of fitment issues. OEM is the way to go, anything less and you'll pay for it in other ways.

I purchased a Trufiber hood for my trans am. Didn't have too much dough to drop, but for now its pretty good til i can get a better one. I'll give you a rundown
    Pros:
    Good buy for the price
Fits really good, just takes adjustment
Pretty good reproduction of OEM ram air hood

    Cons:
    Chicken wire for grille
Slight fiberglass cracking underneath by where airbox lies (might have been hurt during shipping)

Now for the cons, it didn't come with the factory style ram air grilles, but instead they worked in this chicken wire into the fiberglass. if your wanting the factory grilles you'll have to buy them separate and carefully cut out the wire. theres about a 2 inch crack underneath the hood by where the airs brought in not noticable unless looked for. you can kinda tell the fiberglass set a little harsh. and what i means its not as fluid as a more expensive/oem hood, but until i pay it off it is a really good hood. if you have some extra money, you might wanna go looking at suncoast creations or ramairhood.com's cause like what INMY01TA said, you definetly get what you paid for

Thanks for the update. I looked at the ramairhood.com, but was not sure about their fit and quality either.

trufiber or us exotics will be your best bet on quality next to an oem . . . suncoast is a possibility but theyre more expensive and dont look right. they aren't a ws6 replica, and imo look cheap because of this.
