    Questions about Firebirds

As far as Firebirds go what are all of the differences between 1997 and 1998 and up in the v8. I'm wondering if I would be wasting my money on anything older than a 1998. How do the 97s run compared to the 98s and up?

98 and newer have an LS1 compared to the LT1. The body style also has some changes (most notable being the more rounded front end). You won't be wasting your money a LT1 car...I have owned one and I was very pleased with it, however I do like my LS1 better.

if ur going to spend ur money get a ls1 car. the lt1 are nice if we where still in the 90's but the ls1 is 100x better of a car then a lt1. the ls1 makes more power its lighter and 30 times eazer to work on

LT1 has better low end and sounds better, but LS1 has better upper range and everything else. The best part no Opti-spark with the LS1! That alone is the only reason needed to get a LS1.

lt1 feels much more old school power. it very torquey. the ls1 feels much stronger higher up and it revs much nicer. i feel more confident with the ls1 though out the power band. id say if your going to spend the money get an ls1.

i agree with what everyone has said about the lt1 vs ls1, but imo both are amazing cars and you are definately not wastin your money with pre 98 . . . get what you like!

lt1 camaro noses dont look bad at all.. i dont care for the TA lt1s unless it has that aftermarket ram air hood..
