The project Bird
I figured I'd post this up here for you guys that enjoy these cars as much as I do. If all goes well I will begin work on it on Wednesday.
68 Bird with a 350. This guy is doing a complete restore. I'm going to be in charge of the body work. He's going with the same color as the truck in the background in the one picture. Not sure what I think about that color, but we'll soon find out.
Just a few, being non selective but for the first one.

Trust me, I'm pretty envious too. I made the mistake of going with a deal that you see in my sig. I just got done doing a mild engine build to it. 351W bored 30, cam and some other things. But he's making this car new again based on what he's told me. I'm just his starting point.

Yeah... I know!! Still makes me want to puke that I own it. But the truth is that I could not find a Chevy for a better deal, and on top of that, there wasn't one I could find within a few hundred miles of me. I walked out with this car with a complete restoration for 9k. Of course add a few k to that price with the engine build, and that's with me doing all the work.

Maybe someday I'll end up with another. Fingers crossed
I look forward to seeing your progress

I'll keep you guys posted. Right now it's getting stripped down. He is tearing everything off and out of it... Makes my life ssooooooooo much easier, especially with a color change. I mean entire interior, glass, chrome, engine, it's all coming out I love when people make my life easy.
Quick question. Not sure if any of you have seen this done. If you look at the rear spoiler, it sits up, which is normal. He doesn't like it, and I don't blame him, not to mention it was put on crooked. But does anyone know of a way that has worked to get it to sit flush? I was going to grind that lip under it off, and put two thin rubber pads on the ends so it wouldn't scratch the paint when the trunk is closed. What do you all think?
