prayers asnswered!
life could not take my beloved TA from me. i would not allow it.
last week at the Tulsa track on nitto 555 DR street tires i ran a best of 12.16 @ 117 MPH and yesterday i ran at Thunder Valley race track. and my best was 12.21 @ 114 MPH thunder valley's altitude is 700 Ft higher aswell. so taht being said. its a few tenths slower. and that also means i do have an 11 second car on street tires. dyno shows 389 HP to the wheels in my auto.
my MPH show i have over 400 HP.
at the end of the day. i coud not be happier with the performance of my car. all the hard work i have put into it over the last few years has been worth it. tires and a new converter and i should get my long awaited...11.5

What convertor and what is wrong with it? Cam? Suspension? 60'?

Thunder Valley has always been known to run slower times than TRP. Never been to Thunder Valley myself, but always heard the track surface wasn't near as good as TRP.

nothing wrong with the converter but it is just a stock one that had the fins flaired out a little too allow it to stall some..and it stalls to about 3,000
patriot stage 2.5 heads port polished ferra valves, 224/226 566/568 - 112 comp cam
pacesetter headers 3' x-pipe dynamax bullit mufflers 3.73 gearslid ported throttle body.
SLP SFC shift kit. and the stock converter. car has 86k on the odo now. trans feels like it slips just a littletrying to go into 3rd. and my 60 ft time actually isnt all that bad. when i was at tulsa they were not giving time slips that night. (midnight races) so i cant really prove that i ran a 12.16 but idc i did it. and Thunder valley 60' was 1.87 17' 275/45/17 nitto tires

I didn't realize the stock converter could be modified to go up to 3,000. Nice man.

ya dont ask much details on how. i am still a noober when it comes to exactly how a converter works. and what makes then do whatever the hell they do.
but there is a guy that said quote: i can rework the converter and flair out the fins a little to allow it to stall around3k and flash to 3200
that was over a year ago...trans is starting to show wear
