There is a slight up in acceleration, but some people with poor airlids have run into issues with bugs/debris flying into the MAF housing and getting caught up, but if you make sure your airlid is sealed well, u shouldn't have any issues with descreening the MAF.

it could cause tuning nightmares by removing it.

the small gain in power is not worth the possible headaches. LEAVE IT ON!

i have an ltx based car and i know that a stock maf on an lt is capable of flowing good enough for over 400hp probly close to 450hp so im sure your lsx can do the same thing if not better.

what exactly did you get?? The flowpac or what? The only thing you should get is the SLP airlid = 10hp

Just get the Airlid itself it's a proven 10-15hp gain per dyno sheets that GMHTP came up with in an older issue of their magazine, on a considerably bone stock LS1 Camaro.
