    Question a-pillar question

how do you get the a-pillar trim off or out of the way so I can install my raptor shift light and when installing it in the window defroster hole do you have to worry about the heat damaging the light, also where is the easiest place to run the wires through to the engine compartment.

Do you have T-Tops? If so, take the driver's side T-Top out. The pillar is held in place with two Phillips screws. In the hidden part it's held to the frame with some sort of a tension clip. Remove the screws and pull down slightly to pop it out of place. After its loose, pull up on the lower part down by the fuse panel door. Make sure you don't snag any wires running to your rear view mirror.

I don't think the heat will be enough to damage your shift light, but I can't tell you this with 100% certainty.

Why do you need to run wires to your engine? You could but I'd try finding out which is the tach wire going to the gauge cluster. After pulling the cluster it should be easy. Use a voltmeter and compare its output to that of the wire mentioned in this write-up: http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...ht_install.htm
